Moon before dawn

I drive to work early in the morning to help open the academy and yesterday I was greated with the most breathtaking sight.  To my back was the Sierra Navadas.  The sun had yet to make its appearance, and to the front, a clear blue sky with just a hint of lightness and the most perfectly shaped moon.  I pulled over to the side of the road and sat watching it.  It has been the most at peace i have felt in quite some time.   I tried to take a photo but my camera just coudln't capture the whole experience.  A few minutes later as i drove east, i was greated by the sun rising from the sierra's.   Has anyone else felt like this?
